What Does this sputum Test Result Mean?

Hi I had Sputum test and the results were:- A.F.B(Z.N.Stain):-Acid fast bacilli are not detected Pus Cells:- Present(++) Epithelial Cells:-Few Other Organism:- XX Gram Stain:- Smear shows predominantly gram positive cocci In(Cluster &Short chain)& Gram Negative bacilli Present(+) KLB(ALBERT Stain):- XX What does this report mean?

Hello,

Your sputum analysis reports that you have bacterial infection. The bacteria causing this infection are gram +ve and gram -ve type.

Your doctor might prescribe you Cephalosporin such as Cefixime twice a day for five days to cure the infection.
